Chapters of Life
When the pen hits the page
And ink fills the white,
A creature quits the cage
And at last sees the light.
A new book to read
About the circle of life,
There’s a small one in need
After the 9 months dive.
The first chapter done,
Full of new feelings.
Many still to come
Filled with pains and healings.
A character is formed
With a bunch of strengths,
Craving to be warmed
And for a hand to clench.
When the backdoor is open
Chapter 3 sneaks in through
And along comes the token
For a mixed feelings brew.
The world full of danger,
No clue how to act.
Everyone is a stranger
And nothing’s intact.
Once emotions are settled
And the world makes sense,
There comes a new battle
Of thoughts so intense.
What are the reasons?
And where is the goal?
Beware of the treasons,
See life as a whole!
Enjoy Chapter 5,
Fete the half-way party,
It’s the middle of life,
It’s time to get arty.
Is the book half full
Or is it half empty
Count the losses as null
See the land of plenty!
Because before you know
The Chapters are done,
That’s the end of the show,
All cartridges gone.
A whole life spent -
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
A circle has no end,
The one of life truly does.
